Book interview with Nostalgia writer Mamta Chandel

Hello readers, today we have Mamta with us on board. Let’s have a chit chat with her.

Q1. Can you please introduce yourself to the world of literature?

I am a teacher by profession and an author by passion. I belong to Lucknow.

Q2. When did you start writing?

I started writing when I was in class 11th, a teenager.

Q3. When you published first?

As I have been writing since school days, my articles, poems and stories first got published in TOI and HT in  1998. But I debuted as a published author in Jan 2017.

Q4. Describe Mamta in day to day life.

I am a very optimistic, ambitious, hardworking, cheerful, reserve, extrovert person depending upon people and situations.

Q5.  What are your hobbies apart from writing?

I love reading, blogging, listening music, interacting with people, travelling, photography, watching movies.

Q6. Tell us more about your book.

My book NOSTALGIA has all the emotions, highs and lows, which each one of us goes through from being a teenager to become an adult.

Q7. How do you manage your writing time?

I try writing on a regular basis whether it is just few lines or a poem during evening or night when my personal work is all over.

Q8. Your favourite writer and why?

I have many favourites  but till now maximum stories I have read are of Ruskin Bond. His expression of language is so beautiful and natural that it gets gelled up in all age groups and speaks volumes about nature’s harmony.

Q9. Any tips to the upcoming young generation.

The most important thing for all is to stay humble and down to earth.

Stay positive and confident and surround yourself with positive and learned people always. Respect your teachers and elders. Dream and achieve . Don’t think” what will society say”. Follow your heart. Read more books. It will inspire you to write.

Q10. What are your upcoming projects?

I have started working on my second book and I also keep writing poetry, quotes, shairis, short stories often for online literary platforms.

Q11. Mamta in one sentence.

Optimistic, Ambitious, Strong, Cheerful.
