Book interview with Kritika Sharma

Hello readers, today we have Kritika Sharma with us. She recently published a novel entitled treacherous desires. She talks about her book.

Can you please introduce yourself to the world of literature?

Hi, I am Kritika Sharma. Although I am not a bestselling author, I am author of four traditionally published books. Following are the books in order of publication: Manage your Manager (non-fiction), Live-in with a Ghost (Fiction-Romance), AbstracTales (Fiction-Fantasy) and Treacherous Desires (Fiction-Romance). I have also featured in a couple of traditional anthologies as well.

When did you start writing?

I have been writing ever since I held a pencil. I started with writing poems and shayris but later moved on to writing stories and novels.

When you published first?

I was fortunate enough to be published with Srishti in 2013.

Describe Kritika in day to day life?

These days I am on my maternity leaves so away from office work. My day begins with the beautiful smile of my husband and my five months old boy. My whole day is spent in taking care of my baby and performing other chores. And, usually I start writing post-midnight while everyone is asleep.

What are your hobbies apart from writing?

I like to sing, cook and read in my free time.

Tell us more about your book?

My book ‘Treacherous Desires’ is published by Storymirror. It falls under romance genre but it is not typical everyday romance. Instead it is an exotic romance book, which is full of passion (making it atleast 14+). It talks about married life and the struggles a couple faces. And how, some stranger can affect their relationship.

How do you manage your writing time?

I only write at night –which means I go sleepless for many days –LOL.

Sex life in metros after marriage is changing a lot? What do you think?

I am not sure about it as it is one topic no one openly talks about. But I would say that it is safe to assume that life in metros is much difficult in comparison to other cities. The more work-responsibilities you have, the less time you are able to devote to your partner.

Do you believe in extra marital affairs for fulfilling sexual desires which are initiated by women?

No and I simply frown upon such practices. If one has issues in marriage then they should discuss and maybe visit a counselor. But the sanctity of marriage should always be maintained.

Your favorite writer and why?

J.K. Rowling is my all-time favorite author. She made me fall in love with books and without her I don’t think I would have ever written.

What are your upcoming projects?

I am currently working on a non-fiction book. Hope to release it next year.

Any tips to the upcoming young generation.

Beware of fake publishers. They will take your money, make profits and run away.
