Book interview with Features and fire writer Pakhi Dixit
Readers, it’s been a spectacular journey so far. Today, we have Pakhi Dixit with us on board.
Can you please introduce yourself to the world of literature?
I am an undergraduate student. I hail from Jhansi but I currently reside in Kanpur. I have been a part of various anthologies of poems and short stories. I have also edited one of them. I have been an avid reader and “The Diary of a Young Girl” by Anne Frank was the first ever book that I read properly. Since then, I never stopped. Apart from this, I love eating pancakes too. When did you start writing?
I started writing way back in May 2015.
When you published first?
I was first published in an anthology of poems in July 2016. Feathers and Fire, my second book which was supposed to be my first one was launched on 25th of March, 2017 in Delhi. As per your question, my first book, “The CEO in Making” was published on 18th December, 2016.
Describe Pakhi in day to day life?
A normal girl with pretty big dreams, trying to be better than she was yesterday.
What are your hobbies apart from writing?
Reading, that was pretty obvious. Apart from reading and writing, I am active with entrepreneurship too.
Tell us more about your book?
An epic tale of sorrow, love, death and inevitable fate. The novella gives you a taste of tragic teen romance at the same time deals with the inevitability that every relationship in the post global world of fast tacked love todays teen face. The tale is a tragic story about a fated meeting of a boy and a girl. Each waiting for someone to solve their dilemmas.

How do you manage your writing time?
There is nothing like managing time with me. I pay equal attention to my studies as well as writing. It happens automatically. Moreover, when you work becomes a significant part of your life, you don’t need to manage time between your personal and professional being.
Your favorite writer and why?
Japanese author, Haruki Murakami is my favorite writer because he writes in an unconventional manner. I am not that big enough to compare myself with him but at times I do write like him. He is more of a quotes person and so am I.
Pakistani poetess, Irum Zahra because her poems deal with a different side of the human brain.
What are your upcoming projects?
You will come to know about it soon. I don’t tell anyone until the work is done. I have this odd habit.
Any tips to the upcoming young generation.

Bird is what Pakhi means. I have big dreams and I try hard each day to achieve the goals, be it long term or short term, set in front of me.
