Book Interview with Jyoti Patel

Hi readers, today we have Jyoti Patel on board. She is young and energetic girl from the city of Hyderabad.

Can you please introduce yourself to the world of literature?

I’m a student pursuing second year of graduation. I have been the contributing author and poetess to anthologies. Few years ago, I found an online platform to read amazing books and to share my short stories, poetries and novels. This gave me the chance to publish my works online, which can be available to a wider audience. The votes and comments came flooding in, not immediately but from next few days I’d never experienced anything like it before. Each day I woke up to messages of encouragement from readers wanting to know “What I’m writing next” & saying “How inspiring my books are” So, thats where my writing journey has been started.

’Sensation of a Soul’ is my first solo book. I express myself a lot through my words which I may not dare to share with anyone.

When did you start writing?

I was writing since the age of fourteen, probably. But I remember writing poetries and short stories on the backside of my school notebooks. I always had this urge to write down my feelings into words from my late childhood days.

When you published first?

I began writing my first book with the pen name ’Jyotipatelammu’ on an online story telling community. It gave me the chance to publish my works online at the age of fifteen.

In the year 2016, Three of the anthologies I have been contributed have been released. And ’Sensation of a Soul’ has been released on September 15th 2016. When I was a girl of seventeen.

Describe Jyoti in day to day life?

You will either find me reading or writing all the day.

What are your hobbies apart from writing?

I’m a singing, cooking & reading enthusiastic. Travelling, music & photography ardent.

Tell us more about your book?

’Sensation of a Soul’ book consists of forty three poems and eight short stories. The affecting poems and captivating stories in this book share the theme of relationship, adoration, passion, love, hope, faith, desire, dreams and life. Every poem and story in the book is close to my heart and each character is dearly loved. Gladly, my readers have loved the title, cover of the book very much and they say“it goes greatly with the content of the book” The words in the book give the vitality of strong and deep feeling to reader’s soul. I think, believe and hope that “Sensation of a Soul” book gives the noble warmth of feeling, spirit and courage to all the readers.

How do you manage your writing time?

There isn’t any particular time of the day that I write down my ideas. I’m a deep thinker, I get ideas in middle of the nights or early in the mornings, when I’m alone or when I’m around people breathing down my neck. I always keep a book and a pen with me. And if we really want something, we will make time for it; In spite of everything.
Your favorite writer and why?

I’m a voracious reader and adore my collection of books. I read alot at times and sometimes, I just dont feel like too. I’m not a fan of anyone but yes, there are so many writers, authors or poets whose books I always enjoy reading.

Chetan Bhagat, Durjoy Datta, Anuj Tiwari, Savi Sharma, Sidney Sheldon to name a few.

What are your upcoming projects?

Currently I’m working on my next book. The title has been decided few days ago and it is ’Two Hearts, One Soul’

Well, let everything else be a revelation for my lovely readers.

Any tips to the upcoming young generation.

’Just write’ You can achieve anything in the world.  Start writing what you want too. Sit down, relax and let the ink spread on your palms. Appreciate the people who criticize you. If writing is still in your mind after people try to pull you back or laugh at you.  It is definitely worth writing to inspire the many in this beautiful world. Confidence and commitment are very important.
